Ms. Lagerstrom recently won the Instant Tax Service $5,000 cash giveaway and was notified of her win on December 21st. Seven Dayton area Instant Tax Service locations have partnered with the nationally recognized Toys for Tots Foundation to give free toys to deserving children this holiday season. The event will be held on Saturday, December 19th from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm. Prior registration is required at all locations except the 4 S. Main Street location, which will be accepting walk-ins.
DAYTON, OH (December 3, 2009) - The Toys for Tots foundation will be accepting donations of new, unwrapped toys or cash donations at the Dublin Pub, Trolley Stop, and Blind Bob’s taverns between 6:00 pm and 10:00 pm on December 12th during the Oregon District Santa Pub Crawl.
The Oregon District Santa Pub Crawl invites patrons to “spread cheer and drink beer” this holiday season in support of local area children in need. Patrons are admitted free into each participating bar during the event, but are encouraged to bring donations to Toys for Tots in lieu of a cash cover.

This holiday season, the Schuster Center and Victoria Theater Association continue the beloved Dayton holiday tradition of transforming into a wintergarden wonderland from November 27th to December 22nd. A host of holiday fun for the whole family is planned. Events include a Tyke’s shop, Santa visits, the Rike’s Christmas windows, holiday entertainment, craft activities, and the Dayton Ballet’s performance of The Nutcracker.

Toys R Us has collected over $5,000 in donations to the local charity. However, according to Shelley Franz, COO of the charity’s local corporate sponsor, Instant Tax Service, demand for toys this year is already poised to outpace the charity’s available donations.
